We collect only the information needed to operate iCart Arcade, run competitive features, and improve the service.
What we collect
- Account details from sign-in (e.g., via Google): a user identifier, and your name/email as provided, used to create and secure your profile.
- Gameplay data you generate: high scores, save states, ladder and speedrun results, and profile settings.
- Play activity such as titles played and play-time totals — used to operate the service and to calculate proceeds owed to rights holders.
- Technical data such as device/browser info and IP address, used for security and abuse prevention.
How we use it
- To run the platform, save your progress, and power ladders, scores, and multiplayer.
- To measure play-time per title for creator/rights-holder reporting and payouts.
- To secure the service, detect cheating and abuse, and improve performance.
- To communicate with you about your account when necessary.
We do not sell or distribute your private data
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise distribute any data obtained through this system that could or can be deemed private or personally identifying information. This includes your email address, account identifiers, IP address, and any other data that could identify you.
The only sharing we do is strictly operational: with service providers who help us run the platform (such as hosting and authentication), aggregated and non-identifying play metrics shared with rights holders for reporting, and disclosures required by law.
Public data we release
Some non-private information is published openly so third parties (websites, Discord bots, overlays) can build on it. This is offered through our public API and contains only the following:
- Ladder / speedrun standings: your chosen display name (never your email or account id).
- Per-entry statistics: rank, score, completion time, completion percentage, status, and timestamp.
- Public game-catalog details: title, system, and mode.
The machine-readable manifest of exactly what is released lives at /api/public. If you would prefer your display name not appear in these public feeds, contact us.
Retention
We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above or to comply with legal obligations.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no system is 100% secure.
Children
iCart Arcade is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Your choices
You can request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information where applicable. Contact us to make a request.
